Our two main varieties of pears are Bartlett and Bosc. We grow approximately 5 acres of pears, the majority are Bartlett. Our  Bartlett pears used to be grown only for the process market. They were used by Gerber for baby food. In the last several years we have switched to shipping fresh pears to OH, PA, NY and Maryland. 

Pear trees usually take about seven to ten years to yeild a good crop.

Bosc pears are used for fresh eating verses processing with good keeping qualities.
